For the Monsoreau Weaves collection, Osborne and Little offers designs inspired by the novelist Alexandre Dumas and the typical Renaissance architecture. The intricate weaving and colors of the patterns artistically illustrate the geometric shapes of ornamental gardens found in the châteaux of the Loire Valley. Designer Nina Campbell prioritizes symmetry and balance of forms that revolutionized the 15th, 16th, and 17th centuries. The old woolen fabrics are replaced with thick textiles made from other materials. The motifs, whether in solid or multicolored designs, imbibe rich nuances of yellow, red, blue, and green. The artist also pays homage to Ottoman velvet, which influenced the textures of that era.
