With the Nomad collection from Gan Rugs, designer Alejandra Gandia-Blascot immerses spaces in nomadic style. The series pays homage to the peoples of the Saharan desert and the Arctic pole, by way of the Berber tribes of the Maghreb. It enhances ethnic minimalism with rugs, cushions and poufs suitable for outdoor use. As the designs are hand-woven, they highlight the meticulous work of artisans who live in the shadows. The texture is very pronounced, due in large part to the thickness of the recycled polyethylene terephthalate fibers. This spirit of recuperation, in keeping with bohemian charm, above all adds an ecological dimension to the whole. In addition to the brilliance of its Scandinavian palette, the range awakens environmental awareness.
