Guangxu fabric, co-designed by Gaston Y Daniela and Lorenzo Castillo, is named after a 19th-century Chinese emperor. This was a period marked by the popularity of brocade, a silk with gold or silver insets. The brocaded effect is reproduced here in a silky cotton jacquard pattern depicting figures, a boat, a pavilion and flowers. The figures are seductive in their brilliance and oriental freshness.
