Bamboo Wallpaper Morris and Co

Bamboo wallpaper is a reproduction of a watercolour painted by the British architect Edward William Godwin in 1872. The original version shows ribbed bamboo leaves against a background dotted with chrysanthemums. The flowers, typically drawn in Japanese style, symbolise the autumn season in Japan. Morris &Co has revisited the autumnal palette of the original model with more summery shades, while retaining the exotic charm.
