The motif, dating from 1930, illustrates a wooded landscape on the banks of the Creuse River in France. Over the centuries, it has lost its lustre, which it finally recovers under the brushes of Battista Francesco. The figures, reproduced using the ancient tempera technique, make the atmosphere more inspiring with their poetic charm.
