To breathe new life into its contemporary style, Kieffer called on the design duo Andrea Trimarchi and Simone Farresin. The result is a collection bearing the name of their Milan-based studio: Formafantasma. The series brings together fabrics that, like the motto of the two designers, celebrate the simplicity of form. The focus is on minimalism, with an ‘easy-to-make’ look that conceals great creativity and meticulous craftsmanship. The models, whether single-colour or faux-plain, feature a soothing palette of clay colours. Subtlety makes the seduction gradual, inviting the eye to latch on to the sophistication of the texture. The weaving techniques and choice of natural materials give the range its soul. Hemp, wool, jute, linen and paper fibres play on roughness. They evoke the rustic charm of raw materials, whose authenticity embodies the essence of Italian refinement.
