Exotic fibers take to the walls with Arte's Melaky collection, inspired by an eponymous region in central-western Madagascar. It invites us to explore the richness of its flora, which enables the inhabitants to excel in the art of basketry. Sisal, raffia and mulberry are transformed into wall coverings by the meticulous work of passionate craftsmen. All the motifs evoke the simplistic charm of wabi-sabi, with the exception of Mandrava, the only model sublimated by sophisticated embroidery. It easily captures attention with the density of its floral figures, hand-embroidered stitch by stitch. Each creation boasts a unique texture, sublimated by welcoming hues with a natural effect.
