The decor of the Château de Champs-sur-Marne reveals its splendor on Dimanche à la Campagne wallpaper. The inspiration for this ornament came from the cabinet en camaïeu, a chinoiserie painted by Christophe Huet at the request of the Duc de La Vallière in 1748. Its scenes evoke entertaining moments such as fishing, singing and gardening, amid exotic vegetation and graceful birds. Le Grand Siècle has fashioned this piece from photographs of the original woodwork and a delicate pearlescent paper that exalts each of its singularities.
