Inspired by the Greek meander, the Cosimo embroidered braid showcases an interlacing of two U-shaped lines. Architect Michael Aiduss drew inspiration for this motif from a wall frieze at Villa Kérylos in Beaulieu-sur-Mer. The figures convey a sense of dynamism, further emphasized by the contrast between the motif's movement and the light background.
